What was the subject of his work?
- The subject of Kandinsky's work is city on a hill, angel blowing trumpet, horse and rider, Troika, saints, city, and St. George slaying the dragon.
Describe the kind of painting he did?
- Kandinsky was well known as an abstract painter. Abstraction is when the artist the reduces or simplifies of scenes or figures by making some of the realistic elements diminished or non existent. When compared, two of Kandinsky's paintings side-by-side, one can see the changes between the two pieces.

- Synesthesia is when the senses are incorporated together. Kandinsky felt that colors could be "loud" and "quiet". Kandinsky also heard music through art.
